Why you should not rush in the mornings!

I want you to ask yourself a simple yet a important question: 

How do you start your day? 

Are you usually in a rush, in a routine of no struchture or balance? Perhaps the first hour after you woken up is spent scrolling mindlessly on your phone. If you answered yes to any of these it’s time to change that. Sooner rather than later.

A proper morning is a must becuse it sets the tone for the rest of the day. For example, a routine many of us knows way too well: you snooze until the very last minute before work wich leads to you having to run or skip breakfast because there “was no time”. Sounds familiar?Now what signals are you giving your uncouncious mind and body? even though you may not feel it that stress can lingear through the day and affect your mood and mind, your body will notice it even if you don’t. Second thing is that you’re telling yourself that you are not a priority, not deserving to having a cup of coffe in peace or read the newspaper if that is something you would like to do in the mornings. 

Stress is someting that is way too normalised and it shouldn’t be. Just beacause it’s the norm doesn’t equal normal or healthy. Stress can present itself in many shapes or form but most common would be: sleep deprivation or a poor quality of sleep, tention in the body, trubble focusing, issues with emotional regulation etc… the list continues. Many of these go hand-in-hand. the negletfull and stressfull mornings leads to stress in the body wich affects your ability to concentrate and do well at ex. work, wich then leads to even more stress, tention and sleepless nights, and the cycle continues. Tention can be most noticable as tight shoulders and wrinkles in the face. What i like to do is to reset my body and mind in the mornings from the previous day. So that any tention and/or stress doesn’t lingear. I do this through facial and neck massages using a Gua Shua.
